Distributions

VisVIP is distributed for the Unix operating system, and the Microsoft Windows operating environments: 95, 98, ME, NT4, or 2000. For UNIX systems, VisVIP is available in executable form for a few selected platforms, or in source form. Compilation of the source code may well require some assistance from your system administrator. Installation in any of the Microsoft Windows' environments may or may not require assistance from a system administrator.

Directory
Conventions
 VisVIP adheres to the standard directory structure for WebMetrics. Thus, the executable should be located in the $WEBMET_TOOLS/VisVIP subdirectory. Note also that the environment variable $WEBLOG_DATA must be set, so that VisVIP knows where to find its files.
