Version 2.5.1

May 2005: Older versions of VisVIP exited when they encountered non-ascii characters in a web site name rendered on the screen. Now VisVIP replaces the unrecognized character with a special symbol resembling a diamond with an X over it. Also, the bar on the 't' was widened a little bit to make it more distinct at lower resolutions.

Version 2.5

May 2002: VisVIP now adheres to the standard directory structure for WebMetrics.

Version 2.0

The changes from Version 1.0 include:

availability of Windows version, as well as Unix.
detection and prevention of graph instability when performing layout
redesign of the "force constants" menu to control layout
smarter initialization of force constants
allow user to mark an URL based on a name search
handling unknown nodes in a userpath
change of directory structure to reflect both website and user information
correct handling of short userpaths (0,1,2 nodes)
NEXT button to cycle through userpaths one at a time
