Some of the Web Metrics tools involve usability testing with human subjects. It is strongly recommended that before recording any subjects' actions, you make sure that they are fully aware that their actions are being recorded. It is also recommended that you have them sign a consent form. This is standard practice with most usability testing that directly involves subjects and the recording of individual information.
