Which of the following best describes what you
are building for this program (please feel free to
elaborate):
* a collaboration environment
* collaborative tool(s)
* infrastructure for collaborative environments
Which of the following IC&V program objectives
will your research results support:
* Other: My focus is on determining limitations of low resource video conferecning in supporting collaborative activities
Who do you see as the users of your products--please give more specifics, if possible:
* Office workers: To know that collaborative technologies support their work
* Managers: To know what tools are available for supporting required work
When will your research "product" be ready to share with potential end users (in the lab, in the field:)
* Within the next 6 months
What information from potential end users would assist you in developing and refining your system?
Not sure yet. I'm currently designing an evaluation
environment, and selecting task types.
When evaluating the utility of your product, what will be your measures of success?
Users determine the success of the collaborative task based
on task objectives being met.
What can the Evaluation Working Group provide that would assist you in your testing and evaluation (check as many as apply):
* Other (please describe):
I'd like to think so since I like the research I've found.
Unfortunately my work is confined to a local environment (which
sets the context).
Where do you see relationships between your system or research product and others in the IC&V program?
My work will try to establish a boundary which describes
the limitations of low resource (ie. cheap) video conferencing
(and supporting applications) in supporting a range of
collaborative tasks (Range: in terms of complexity).
