WebMetrics VISVIP

• Goal: to help discover trends and patterns in data collected on navigation paths of users given a specific task on a web site

• Automatically lays out a 2D graph for the structure of a web site

  • Each node is a web page
  • LinkLint shareware to parse the structure
  • OpenGL

• Reads in user path data from WebVIP and generates spline-based curved paths on web site graph

• 3rd dim. represents dwell time per page for each user
