• VRML 97 is a specification language used to represent geometry and motion in a 3D space

• VRML 97 - HANIM is a Humanoid Animation Working Group specification that seeks to allow interoperable humans

• Can be viewed with any VRML enhanced WWW browser

• An inexpensive way to view and exchange 3D models and simulations across the internet or within an intranet

  • 3D “postscript” with behaviors
  • CAD/CAM and simulation system output into VRML.
