Lessons Learned for Kiosk-based Testing

• Running software packages is NOT a good candidate for kiosk-based evaluation

  • too many problems can arise that have to be fixed in real-time
  • users were too quick in clicking macros and software responding incorrectly
  • users just didn’t know what to do - needed intervention to get started
